Crete is a magical island filled with myth and legend, a place to relax the ideal choice for all the family.

Due to the location of the villa, you have the advantage of staying close to the south coast of Crete where you can find some of the most amazing natural beaches in the whole Greece.  

The closest beach to the villa is Small Triopetra beach (300 m). The next beach over is the big Triopetra beach (2,5 km) with its crystal waters named after the three majestic rocks that rise from the sea. Free sunbeds are provided at Triopetra beach where the villa owner’s tavern Apotheke is situated.

More beaches near the villa we suggest you to visit are :

Ag. Pavlos beach (4.8 km): Agios Pavlos Sandhills beach which is considered as among one of the best in Crete. The warm waters are very inviting for a swim and it is quite common to see people in various states of beachwear or lack thereof owing to the area's relative seclusion and privacy offered by the coves around the beaches.

- Agia Galini beach (24 km): This resort is situated 58 km south of Rethymno. Apart from the plentiful tourist infrastructure the village also boasts beautiful and clean beaches, which are situated in various picturesque inlets in the area.

- Ligres beach (7.8 km): Ligres is a secluded beach, 45 minutes away from Rethymno. It is a beautiful sandy beach with a nudist area right in the end. Very nearby there are taverns where you can taste fresh fish of the area and local meals, and do not forget to visit the neighboring Agia Fotia beach with small tavern on the water. 

- Preveli beach (38.9 km): 38 km south of Rethymno, shortly before you arrive at the historic Monastery of Preveli, a track on the left hand side leads downhill to a parking place. After approximately 15-minutes downhill walk you arrive at the beautiful sandy beach with palm trees, where the River Kourtaliotis empties into the sea. 

In addition the beaches of “Schinaria”, “Damnoni”, “Souda” and “Plakias" are only some of our suggestions which are located close! All the above beaches are organized but you can also easily find isolated beaches where you would be alone.
